WEEKEND LOADED WITH HITS

Sergio Tejeda in the Long Distance Triathlon Lisbon

The last weekend of April usually come loaded with good evidence, some interesting national and other Andalusian circuit. The schedule is as charged that one can find a test virtually any weekend of the year, which the option is in the goals that each brand. So our club had a number of fronts around the whole national and even international as we are getting accustomed to great results. In summary we have had representation in the following tests:

First we went to the International Triathlon LONG DISTANCE OF LISBON, test in which Antonio Conejo, despite its technical problems during the stretch rider managed to finish in 11 th position overall, Sergio Tejeda (photo) did in 29 th position and Francisco Jimenez at 51 º. Recall that proves the international level and these results are great

also disputed the Long Distance Duathlon of the suffering, in Malaga, where Jose Garcia Naranjo managed a 5 th place overall and 1 in VA on a test whose distances were 10 km walk - 97 miles of hard cycling - 20 km run. All this under intense and relentless rain that made the test even tougher than it already was. Alejandro Cañas

Palace, our new addition with a promising future in this sport, participated in the NATIONAL TRIATHLON Fuente Alamo, where every year brings together the best national athletes at the time. Just the mere act of participating in Elite status is showing the form of one, but managed to get above the 20 th General indicates that the level of this young gem is more than good.

Victor Alvarez in the Triathlon World Championship Cross (Cáceres)

Now we leave to Caceres where 3 of us moved up to "The Ring" Cáceres to play Championship Triathlon World Cross. Our best result was scored by Victor Alvarez to finish 8 th in a race marked by a rough circuit, mud, rain and inclement weather the previous day. Proof of this was required Hugo del Castillo withdrawal of mechanical problems and Rodrigo Labrack by a fall that caused a sizable wound in the leg and had to be dealt with by emergency services. A pity they were fighting for positions in their respective categories headboards.

And finally played the Torre del TRIATHLON belonging to the Andalusian circuit, which attracted over 200 participants from all over Andalusia. Under an afternoon with a perfect temperature and climate conditions ideal for this sport, our Alhaurín showed Triathlon season starts in a very higher than other seasons. Proof of this was the victory of Beatriz Jimenez in the female category with a partial walk devastating that gave the victory, the 10 th position Yolanda Fernandez, the 19 th of Angela Hill and joined the 2 nd position of M ª Carmen Moreno Veterans, gave the winning team at our club Women category.

Meanwhile in the men our best man was Antonio Garcia (6 th), followed closely by Francisco Mora (13 °) Pedro Cruz (18 º) and Jesus Gutierrez (19 º). Daniel Bueno (44) Sergio Banderas (52) Juan Antonio Luque (60) Joaquin Calderon (63) Juan Olmos (79) Carlos Gutierrez (106) Luis Matias Azanza (107 - 5 º VA) Juan Andrés Parejo (13 º Junior) and Daniel Mora (133) completed the rest of the issue and got a 4 th Men's Team Since very close to getting the Podium.

On Sunday, under a completely updated spring duathlon was held the III belonging to cros of Coin Andalusia cup of that discipline.
Our club had a high representation with no more and no less than 17 duathletes, obtaining very good results. The race consisted of a first sector of 4.5 kmt walk on career lanes that did not offer any kind of difficulty, followed by 20 kmt of Mtb that were done in a circuit that had to complete three laps. It was this sector that would test our athletes, as we were with a rally circuit entirely typical of high-level competitions for mountain biking, fast and technical areas demanding parts and bicycle riding total.

regard to our own and as big news included the victory in the senior women of our lifelong athlete Bea Jimenez, after two years later and through motherhood, again climb to the top of a podium under the colors of our team, "Congratulations and welcome home."
Another big news this year is that we finally have a broad representation of women. The proof is the phenomenal first place in the general category of equipment, which achieved the first victory of this year and that very likely be the beginning of a great year for our girls ........ José Naranjo
